AirHop Unveils Nomination for 2011 Spiffy Award.

AirHop Communications has been nominated by the Telecom Council of Silicon Valley for a 2011 Spiffy Award in the San Andreas - Disruptive Technology category.

The Company said nominees are selected by the Telecom Council's Service Provider Forum (SPIF), made up of over 20 global carriers, from more than 100 startups representing a broad range of telecom products and services.

"Startups who are chosen to present to our SPIF are prequalified as companies with the ideas and relevance to motivate change in the telecom industry," said Stephanie Owyoung, director of marketing for Telecom Council of Silicon Valley. "Being a SPIFFY Award nominee goes a step further to say that AirHop's technologies are among the best of the best as judged by the Council's 25+ global service providers including AT&T, British Telecom, DoCoMo, France Telecom/Orange, Swisscom, Verizon, Vodafone and many other fixed and wireless carriers from Europe, Asia, and North and South America."

AirHop noted that it is gaining recognition for its family of eSon RAN management software products. The company was also recently named to Light Reading Mobile's list of "Top Ten Startups to Watch" for 2011.
