Franklin opens sales office to service mid-Atlantic territory.

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 19, 1997-- Franklin Telecom (OTC/BB:FTEL) Monday announced that effective June 1, 1997, it is opening a new sales office, based in Raleigh, N.C., to serve the mid-Atlantic region.

The new office will service accounts in North and South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia and Georgia.

Eileen Rouse has been named mid-Atlantic sales manager. She previously served as sales administration manager for Franklin's headquarters in Westlake Village. Rouse brings 20 years of experience in sales within high-tech industries to her new position. Prior to working for Franklin, Rouse was sales administration manager for Xircom and Penril Datability Networks.

Frank Peters, Franklin's president and chief executive officer, expressed satisfaction at Rouse rejoining Franklin's sales force. "Ms. Rouse has proven herself an exceptional talent in high-tech sales. When we looked to establish a stronger corporate presence in the mid-Atlantic area, I was delighted to be able to secure her services to spearhead this enterprise. Rouse will oversee sales for Franklin Telecom's full line of hardware products and FNet Internet services as well as satellite solutions offered through Franklin's subsidiary Internet PassPort in Atlanta but her special focus will be on Franklin's recently introduced Cyclone product.
